One day, in 2022, my desires began to change. The things that I once loved and enjoyed, no longer satisfied me. I began to notice that I didn’t enjoy the drinking, the clubs, the bars, the sex etc. and it made me feel uncomfortable. At the time, I was unsure why or what was going on. But I understand now that God was preparing me for this journey before I truly accepted Him into my life. In 2023, I found a church home where I was baptized June 3, 2023. Once I was dipped in that water there was no turning back and let's just say, God did his big one!
Today, I am still far from perfect but I am closer to God. I understand that I am nothing without Him. I understand that there is nothing that I can do without him. And I'm finally understanding that God doesn't want our perfect; He doesn't want the glam or the aesthetics. But He wants the mess, the trauma, the tears, the sin etc. God only wants our YES; yes to Him, yes to His ways and yes to His love. Jesus died on the cross of each and every one of us. He knows us by each hair on our head, He kew us before we were formed in our mothers wounds and He knows the plans for our lives. So, what better way to honor the man who died for you than to live your life for him?
